“A religion that is pure and stainless according to God the Father is this: to take care of orphans and widows who are suffering and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
James 1:27

Goat Project

Since Manna Mission is reaching out and working among the poor people and among the poor children we came across many families who expect helps from us for their economic development and for their children’s education. To help some of these poor families for income generation Manna Mission has taken up “SMALL BUSINESS PROJECTS” with one time seed money.

First of all, we identify the families whom we should help with small business project. Secondly, we find out their interest area, if any skills, whether they are willing to do hard work etc. To start the business we go along with them to the market to buy the items or materials in the beginning. Later, when they are able to run the business well and spend for them only the part of profit money and keep the seed money we have provided; they can buy items or materials for themselves with saved seed money and with part of profit money. On the process, when they can save enough profit, buy items and materials by with the profit money, they have to refund 50% of the seed money so that we can give it to other needy families.

Manna Mission has taken up the “SMALL BUSINESS PROJECTS” with Goat Project last year. We started investing just two grown up female goats per family. Within a year family have at least six goats from two. We assume at least four goats will survive out of six. When the goats are grown up in one and half year it is sold with enough profit. With this project the number of goat increases and they don’t need to buy goats any more, except to buy female goats if needed. They will have to rear and sale only. If they family look after and feeds properly they will be more than happy in their economic development for the family and children.

Goat Project Need: $200 per family. We want to help 50 families.

Expected Outcome
As we are running children education and development centers (CEDC) and reaching out to the parents and community, the goat project will bring a lasting impact in the community. It will give us more ministry opportunities and to spread the good news of Christ. Community transformation will take place. In our 50 CEDCs we want to help at least 50 poor families with goat project. The project will be helpful to some of our new believers from poor families as well.
